At 213 for 7, Bangladesh’s lead was just 131 runs, and it looked like Zimbabwe were in control of the Sylhet Test. But Zaker Ali Anik stepped up, partnering with Hasan Mahmud to push the lead. Zaker scored a fighting fifty, trying to lift the team’s total.
Unfortunately, he got little support from the tail. Despite his effort, Bangladesh were bowled out for 255 in 79.2 overs in their second innings, setting Zimbabwe a target of just 174 runs.
Earlier, Bangladesh managed 191 in their first innings, while Zimbabwe posted 273.
