The Pakistan Super League (PSL) began on April 11, but Nahid Rana had to wait for his chance. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) withheld his no-objection certificate (NOC) at the start of the tournament. Only after participating in the first Test against Zimbabwe did Rana receive his NOC, allowing him to join the PSL midway through the season.
Nahid Rana is set to leave for the PSL on Saturday. Speaking to Dhaka Post before his departure, he expressed confidence about his upcoming challenge. “I believe in myself. I want to give my best for the team, and if I can do that, good results will follow,” said Nahid. He will represent Peshawar Zalmi, who picked him from the ‘Golden’ category during the PSL 10 draft held on January 13.
Nahid Rana will play for Peshawar Zalmi

However, by the time Nahid Rana departs, Peshawar Zalmi will have already played five matches. Their position in the tournament isn’t ideal, currently sitting fourth in the standings with 4 points from 2 wins and 3 losses. Meanwhile, two other Bangladeshi players were also selected for this season’s PSL. Rishad Hossain is already in Pakistan and has featured in four matches, while Liton Das missed out after being ruled out with an injury before the season began.
