Bangladesh all-rounder Mehedi Hasan Miraz has received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to participate in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) for Lahore Qalandars. The BCB approved his request within hours of submission, allowing him to join the two-time champions.
Miraz, who was not part of Bangladesh’s T20 squad for the series against the UAE and Pakistan, is expected to fly to Pakistan on Monday night. His NOC is valid from May 22 to 25, enabling him to bolster Lahore Qalandars spin department in the tournament’s crucial stages.
Reports suggest that Miraz has been brought in as a replacement for Zimbabwean all-rounder Sikandar Raza, who will miss Lahore’s playoff matches due to national team commitments. Raza, a key player for the Qalandars, is set to join Zimbabwe for their away Test series against England, starting May 22 in Nottingham.
Lahore secured their playoff spot after defeating Peshawar Zalmi on Sunday and will now look to leverage Miraz’s skills in their quest for a third PSL title.
