Indian Test team batsman Sarfaraz Khan’s brother Musheer Khan had an accident on Purvanchal Express on Saturday. After this, he was treated in a private hospital in Lucknow. However, Musheer is fine now and on Sunday Musheer Khan and his father Naushad Khan thanked BCCI and his well-wishers through a video. Sarfaraz’s father was present in the car during the accident.

Musheer said, “I want to thank God for the new life. I am fine now. My father was with me, he is also fine. Thanks for your prayers.” Musheer left for Lucknow by car from his hometown Azamgarh on Friday evening, but his car collided with a divider on the Purvanchal Expressway and overturned. In this accident, the cricketer suffered neck and shoulder injuries. He was immediately admitted to Medanta Hospital in Lucknow.

Due to the injury, Musheer has been ruled out of the Irani Cup starting on October 1 at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. However, it will be known only after seeing the severity of his injury whether he will be able to participate in the Ranji Trophy or not. Police sources said that his father and two others were also injured in this accident.
